Most
Personal Trainers have experienced this
A client comes in
and says they want to work with you. The client identifies one of
his or her goals as "weight loss". You can't quite put
your finger on it, but you know there's something more going on
with this client than meets the eye. Very soon into your work together,
you know you're going to lose this one. No matter what you try (and
you try everything you know), your client starts canceling appointments
and quits. What went wrong? What can you do differently the next
time so the client sticks and both of you end up feeling good about
your work together?
Sheila Lee is the Coordinator of Personal Training for a major Corporate
Health and Fitness System, a Certified Personal Trainer, a Resistance
Training Specialist, and the exercise specialist at the Acoria Center.
In our experience, she is one among only a small number of professionals
in the exercise field who truly understands "emotional eating"
and its impact on a person's desire to move. With this understanding
and knowledge, Sheila has developed an intervention model that addresses
how to both engage and keep clients who are "exercise resistant".
Sheila Lee's skill building program helps trainers achieve greater
success with their clients and gain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
