
Some people find themselves living at a higher than healthy weight
because they have an "Energy Imbalance". Very simply put,
that means they are eating more calories than they expend in activity.
(There's more food going into the body than is being burned up as
fuel.) Therefore the body stores the excess calories as fat. So, people
with an energy imbalance or a food addiction gain weight or maintain a weight higher than
they would prefer.

just an Energy Imbalance, if there really are no emotional or biochemical
factors driving a person to overeat (like stress, anger, depression,
obsessive-compulsive behaviors, etc), some experts would suggest
